Access Statement

 PLAS FARM CARAVAN PARK ACCESSIBILITY STATEMENT

  • The Touring park and Tent field are on level ground with plenty of space for parking next to your caravan or tent.
  • The road access to the Tent field is loose shale hardcore and there is a 1 in 10 slope.
  • The road access to the Touring Caravan field is a slight slope but the pitches are all on level ground.
  • The Caravan pitches are all hardstanding and level with some all weather pitches with hardstanding for the awning and car.
  • The Tent pitches are all grass with some electric hook ups.
  • All Caravan Pitches are multiserviced – water connection , sky tv aerial and electric hook up and grey-waste drainage.
  • Lighting are on a dawn till dusk system , with lit roads on the Caravan Park and on the access roads.
  • The disabled suite is very close to some Caravan Pitches and has a toilet, basin and shower with chair also grab rails, clothes hooks and mirror.Access to the Facilities block from the Tent field is through a narrow path and up 3 flights of steps , the alternative route would be to drive around the access road.
  • There are numerous water points , chemical disposal points, dustbin / recycling points and fire points on the park and should be no further than 50 metres away from any pitch , these points are all adjacent to roads and accessible by car.
  • Mobile telephone coverage is only available through Vodafone and O2, there is a pay phone near to reception.
  • Wi Fi internet access is available to all pitches.
  • Parking near to shower block and a concrete ramp with grab rails to access the suite. There is a small step to access the Reception , Laundry and Information area.
  • Assistance in pitching on arrival is offered and we are always willing to help in any way we can.
